''Checkin' Out the Ghosts'' is a studio album by Kim Carnes, released in Japan only (1991) (see 1991 in music). Two years later, in 1993, the song "Gypsy Honeymoon" would be re-recorded and released as a single in Europe only. The track would be included on and become the title of an internationally released hits compilation, ''Gypsy Honeymoon: The Best of Kim Carnes''. The album also contains a re-recording of the track "Hangin' On by a Thread (A Sad Affair of the Heart)", which was originally recorded on Carnes' album Café Racers.
